BELAX Announces Elite Super Select Coaches Scott Kneebone and Aaron Stubbs for 2010.

After Former CCBC Essex head coach, Brian Duncan took an assistant role at Jacksonville University this past Fall, Baltimore Elite has fielded yet another duo of superb coaches to lead the BELax Elite Super Select squad this summer.

 

A pair of Aussies; these two come highly qualified for their position as coaches for our top-tier team. Scott Kneebone   has an extensive lacrosse background having played for the Australian World team in the 80’s before continuing on to play with current Stony Brook Head coach Richard Sowell on the Baltimore Thunder Indoor team (’89-’91). Scotty has since played for the 2002 Men’s Masters Team Toyota World Championship team and served as an advisor and scout for the 2006 Australian World Cup team who indeed took 3^rd overall after a decisive 21-8 win over the Iroquois National team in the 2006 Championships. He also played for the Grandmaster’s World Championship’s Silver medalists, Team Toyota in 2006 as well.

 

After playing for the Australian U-19 team in 1988, Aaron Stubbs continued on to play for the Australian World team in 1994 and 1998 before making the transition from player to coach. He also made another huge transition as he made the move to the United States. He has since coached as an assistant at Southern High School before doing some coaching in Hollywood, CA and returning to Maryland to join Jake Reed at Delaney High School. He is now the assistant at Catonsville High School where he helped the Comets to a 14-2 season and Catonsville High School record. Their second loss came in the State quarter finals. He brings a plethora of offensive knowledge to the lacrosse field and an energy that transcends into his players.

 

Baltimore Elite is very happy to have these two coaches aboard our staff to field our most talented team and know that both Scotty and Stubbs will get the most out of their players.
